About LaxRats

LaxRats was originally started in the Summer of 2012 when Ned Kaish and Clinton Sorrel noticed a void in summer lacrosse in the Marietta area. Kaish and Sorrel graduated from Walton High School in 2011 winning a lacrosse state championship their senior year before moving on to play lacrosse collegiately at Lenoir-Rhyne and Florida Southern respectively. LaxRats started as a 6-week long summer program where players would come out 2-3 days a week to work on the fundamentals of the game. As LaxRats progressed they started using the motto, "We put the FUN in Fundamentals" to describe their style of lacrosse and coaching.

After 3 years of running summer camps LaxRats took a year off before Coach Kaish brought the company to the Roswell/Johns Creek area. Coach Kaish is the Head Lacrosse Coach at Northview High School and hopes to use LaxRats to continue to grow the game in the area.

LaxRats principle focus is still on putting "the Fun in Fundamentals." Whether it is a week long camp camp, a 2-hour skill specific clinic, or summer travel team we want summer lacrosse to be the most fun you have playing lacrosse. We want to help you continue to develop into the player you want to become. Whether you are looking to play in college or learn to throw and catch with your weak hand, LaxRats is the program for you.

LaxRats brings in different coaches from all over the state and southeast to help players in Georgia learn the game. LaxRats believes that everyone teaches the game differently and the more voices you can hear the more your game can improve while having Fun playing the greatest game in the world.
